You picked A star. The answer is A rainbow.
What sign did God set in the clouds as His promise after the Flood?
Why the answer is A rainbow
After the Flood, God made a covenant with Noah and every living creature that He would never again destroy the earth with a flood. As a sign, He said, “I do set my bow in the cloud” (Genesis 9:13).
Rainbows appear when sunlight enters raindrops, bends, reflects off the back of the drop and bends again as it leaves. Each color exits at a slightly different angle, spreading white light into a band of color with red on the outside and violet on the inside.
You will always see a rainbow with the sun behind you. Sometimes a fainter second bow appears outside the first, and its colors run in reverse order.
